My mate Jake...

You know I don't get out much when my new best friend is my neighbour's cat Jake. But what a cutie he is!! Here he is miaowing pitifully to let him in. I haven't succumbed yet.....

Roald Dahl

Whilst we were away got to go to my favourite author's museum. Think I have read all of his books and could easily read them all over again. Did a bit of a tour of the town which influenced him a lot (Great Missenden) and went and saw his grave. A real treat for a Dahl fan like me.

Here's an old friend Emma we hadn't seen for about 6 years. Her husband is camera shy!

and here's us all dressed up. The kilt was a hit as always.

Craig and Amy's wedding

As most of you know we don't get dressed up that often but managed to do so for our friend's - Craig and Amy's wedding last weekend in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire. Like us they got married in Oz (Amy's from Perth) and had a 2nd reception in the UK. Great night. Lots of dancing and nice food. Ian and Craig did their Masters together in Cambourne and managed to live together for a year without destroying too much!!!

Langwathby May Day

We also finally decided to go to a May Day celebration in the village. Saw our first Maypole dancing and knew most of the children on the float (neighbours kids). Lili (Elaine's youngest for those of you that know her) was the proud May Day Queen.

Dancing Queens

May has been quite a busy month for us in Cumbria. But most certainly the highlight
has been going to see Singalong Abba. Took a few of the girls from work and Lana along with me and had a fab night. Lots of dancing and seeing obviously. Have to admit I was surprised what great lengths people went to to get dressed up, but not us, just lots of glitter for us!!!
